Nomination Dates: 04/28/2025 - 08/15/2025
Summary of Position: The main responsibility of the host / ambassador is to be connected with a Cornell SOTC participant through the summer. As an SOTC Ambassador, you will be assigned a student for the summer to check in on. Primarily you contact the student(s) before they arrive to introduce yourself and offer to help get them settled into the CWRU dorms. Some students need to be picked up from the airport and/or a ride to the store to pick up a few essentials. Several times over the summer check in with the student, invite them to dinner, etc.
As an SOTC volunteer, you are invited to special events throughout the summer. These events provide wonderful opportunities to network with Cleveland-area professionals who share a common passion for attracting young talent to the area, including SOTC board members and volunteers, and representatives from the corporations who employ SOTC interns.
Volunteers will receive training in May.
